Call for Special Sessions & Events

Call for Special Sessions & Events

We kindly invite you to propose a NaBIC2011 Special Session (SS) and/or event. NaBIC2011 is intended to be a forum for discussing the state-of-the-art in machine intelligence, and address various issues on building up human friendly machines by learning from nature. The conference theme is Nurturing Intelligent Computing Towards Advancement of Machine Intelligence.

Call for SS’s

Please collect at least five potential papers, and write paper titles, author information as well as SS organizers’ information in an email and send to all the SS and Event Chairs (aboitcairo@gmail.com, Bernard.DeBaets@ugent.be>, mkoeppen@ieee.org, Dominik.Slezak@infobright.com). The SS & Event Chairs check the scope of the SS proposals and approve them. When each approved SS has enough number of accepted papers, the SS is established and included in technical program. All papers of both regular sessions SS’s will be submitted through the NaBIC2011 paper management system, Easychair, and reviewed with the same review process.

All accepted and registered papers will appear in the proceedings published by IEEE and fully indexed by IEEE Xplore.

There are two review options in the SS proposal form. If you choose an option for asking the Program Committee to manage reviewing your SS papers, please write three referee names who have agreed to be NaBIC2011 referees. If you choose the review option of self-management, please find referees in your domain area, assign them to your SS papers, and make them submit their review report in time.

Call for Events

Your idea of NaBIC events, such as competitions, panel discussions, demonstration booths, and any others, are welcome. Please describe it, how to realize, schedule for preparation, estimated cost, and others in a proposal form in free format and submit to two SS and Event Chairs. They are reviewed taking account of necessary space, cost, time, attractive effects, and others and approved. Submissions Please submit an SS proposal and/or Event proposal as an email attachment to the two SS and Event Chairs with a copy to nabic.system@gmail.com
