ABOUT MALAYSIA
Malaysia is a country in Southeast Asia, located partly on a peninsula of the Asian mainland and partly on the northern third of the island of Borneo. West (peninsular) Malaysia shares a border with Thailand, Geographically, Malaysia is as diverse as its culture. Malaysia is divided into 13 states and 3 Federal Territories, separated by the South China Sea with 11 states and 2 federal territories (Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya) in Peninsular Malaysia and two states and 1 federal territory (Labuan) in East Malaysia.
One of Malaysia's key attractions is its extreme contrasts. Towering skyscrapers look down upon wooden houses built on stilts, and five-star hotels sit several metres away from ancient reefs. Cool hideaways are found in the highlands that roll down to warm, sandy beaches and rich, humid mangroves.
For the perfect holiday full of surprises, eclectic cultures and natural wonders, the time is now, the place is Malaysia.

ABOUT MALACCA
Melaka (a.k.a. Malacca) is the capital of the Malaysian state of Malacca. Traditionally, the spot where Melaka stands today was the center of Malaccan history. It was the capital of the Malaccan Sultanate and the center of the Malay world in the 15th and the 16th century before it fell to the Portuguese in 1511. Centuries of colonization by the Portuguese, Dutch and the British have shaped the architecture of the town. The Historic Centre of Melaka has been nominated for inclusion in the World Heritage List (UNESCO heritage sites) which encloses the oldest part (18th century historic center of Melaka) and a number of historic and traditional settlements, both inside and outside the protected townscape which reflects the `Old Malacca’. Melaka offers many accommodation choices, ranging from hostels, ideal for the budget conscious or young backpacker, to five star resorts for the affluent traveler.
