Tutorial Title: Advances in Fuzzy Min-Max Neural Networks And Applications

Objective:
To enable the participants to understand and implement the different fuzzy min-max neural networks.

Scope: 
Participants will understand in detail the architecture and learning mechanism of very interesting and useful kind of hybrid neural network called Fuzzy Min-Max Neural Network. Also, participants will get familiar with the advancements in fuzzy min-max neural network.

Importance of neuro-fuzzy Architectures, Desirable properties of good classifier, Fuzzy Min-max Neural Network: Architecture, Learning Algorithm, Implementation results, briefing of Advanced fuzzy Min-max Neural Network.

A Brief Statement of the Relevance of the proposed workshops/tutorial to ISDA 2017:
As the conference focuses on Intelligent System design and applications, the proposed workshop will discuss the very important kind of Neural Network called Fuzzy Min-Max neural network that has the capability of learning in a single epoch and also has a very important characteristic of online training. Thus, Fuzzy Min-Max Neural Network is a very efficient solution to the design of Intelligent Systems in many applications.

Brief Biography of the Speaker:
Dr. Swati V. Shinde has completed Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, from Swami Ramanand Teertha Marathwada University, Nanded, ME degree in Computer Engineering from Bharti Vidyapeeth, Pune, in 2006 and BE (Computer Science & Engineering) degree from Swami Ramanand Teertha Marathwada University, Nanded in 2001. She has total 16 years of teaching experience and currently she is working as a Professor in Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune. Her research interests include Data Mining, Machine Learning, Soft Computing, Artificial Neural Network and Fuzzy Logic. She has published 38 research papers in reputed conferences and journals. Two of these are Published in the prestigious Sciencedirect- Elsevier journals. She has filed three research patents. She also has received the research grant of SPPU University, Pune. She is conferred with the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Women Achievers Award by IItech Banglore. She received the Best Paper Award IEEE Conference-ICCUBEA2016. She got awarded by Indo Global Engineering Excellence Award by Indo Global Chamber of Commerce Industries and agriculture. She has guided more than 40 UG and PG Projects in the different domains of Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology.
