Welcome to SoCPaR 2012 and Brunei!
After the success of the Third International Conference of Soft
Computing and Pattern Recognition (SoCPaR 2011), SoCPaR 2012 is
organized to bring together worldwide leading researchers and
practitioners interested in advancing the state of the art in Soft
Computing and Pattern Recognition, for exchanging knowledge that
encompasses a broad range of disciplines among various distinct
communities. It is hoped that researchers and practitioners will bring
new prospects for collaboration across disciplines and gain inspiration
to facilitate novel breakthroughs. The themes for this
conference are thus focused on "Innovating and Inspiring Soft Computing
and Intelligent Pattern Recognition".
The conference is expected to provide an opportunity for the
researchers to meet and discuss the latest solutions, scientific
results and methods in solving intriguing problems in the fields of
soft Computing and Pattern Recognition. The conference programme will
include workshops, special sessions and tutorials, along with prominent
keynote speakers and regular paper presentations in parallel tracks.
All accepted papers will be compiled in conference proceedings
published by the IEEE. The General Chairs, along with the entire team
cordially invite you to submit your latest research results in the
fields of Soft Computing and Intelligent Pattern Recognition, and to
take part in the upcoming conference, to be held during December 13-15,
2012. The conference is supported and hosted by Universiti
Brunei Darussalam, Brunei.
All submitted papers will be refereed by experts in the field based on the criteria of originality, significance, quality, and clarity. Like previous editions, all accepted papers presented at SoCPaR2012 will be selected and recommended for possible publication in Journal Special Issues and Edited Volumes (indexed by SCI, EI Compendex, etc.)
Note: Since SoCPaR 2012 didnt accept many papers, the organizers decided to merge the proceedings with ISDA 2012 proceedings. So SoCPaR 2012 and ISDA 2012 proceedings would cary the same ISBN. Both events deal with computational intelligence and are technically sponsored by the same IEEE Organizational Units and main Sponsor. Thanks for your understanding.
